Welcome to Troop 51

Scouts and Parents, we are excited and happy to have you join us.  Troop 51 is a HIGHLY active Boy Scout Troop in Herndon, Virginia.

Scouting is about having fun and learning while maturing.  Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where boys can enjoy scouting in the outdoors where they can learn useful skills, build self-confidence and gain self-reliance, be supported to advance at their own pace, learn to serve others, develop environmental awareness, and ultimately become responsible leaders in the community.  The youth run the troop by creating the calendar, planning campouts and activities, and running ceremonies and meetings.  They build leadership skills within the BSA framework.  Our mission is to build and grow character in our youth, and we have been doing this since 1995.

At Troop 51, we take this commitment seriously, and adults are a key part of fulfilling the mission.  We are sponsored by Floris United Methodist Church and meet at the church on Frying Pan Road.
